In fact the military taught her the value of being determined and not giving up on a project just because the going gets touch. Shannon lists Christina Aguilera, 50 cent, Madonna and Shania Twain as being among her favorite musicians and she likes her music to be upbeat so that it can get her going first thing in the morning. She also likes her food to be hot and come from south of the border but then that tends to match the girl doesn't it? What's her taste in men? Shannon Lea was born in Spokane Washington, the daughter of a military family. She moved to Guam and then to North Carolina and by the time she finished school she wanted to be a soldier. Her specialty was telecommunications and she stayed with that specialty in the army for over six years. When her enlistment was over she went to World.com as a Network Operations Engineer but her break into glamour modeling when Playboy was looking for suitable models from the corporate world. With around 900 applications Shannon was the one that Playboy chose and from there her career was off and running. Shannon has no illusions about her time as a model and she knows that one day it will come to an end. When it does she'll happily go back to telecommunications.
