She grew up within sight and sound of the Vatican but was blessed by having parents who taught her that it was more important to be true to yourself than be true to what other people teach but don't live. When her parents gave her the freedom to be herself they knew that they would have no control over what she chose to do with her life so she encountered no resistance from them when she told them that she wanted to pursue a career in photographic modeling.
